We had a fairly large leak from a type of pipe that was installed when our house was built that has a reputation for failure. We contacted several plumbing companies for estimates to repair and replace the entirety of the failing pipes, and only Hartman Plumbing made arrangements to provide a free estimate, and Hartman helped us navigate our insurance claim without asking. Nick and Caelin were fantastic technicians that performed the work. They did their best to minimize the amount of wall repairs that will be needed from gaining access to the old pipes. They worked clean and were respectful to us and our pets. We discovered a minor issue from the installation, and with a text there was a technician (Damon) here the next day to make the adjustment. After completing the full system replacement, I mentioned to Nick that we have always had very low water pressure, and in less than 5 minutes they adjusted the pressure regulator at the meter and corrected the pressure issue. We could not be happier with the service and results. Hartman will be our go-to for any future maintenance plumbing/HVAC needs.

I own a commercial office building in Cranberry Township. My largest tenant is a school for children with severe handicaps, and we had an emergency with our grinder pumps that failed on Friday late afternoon. After contacting several plumbing repair services, none of which were available or could work on grinder pumps, I found Rick Hartman Plumbing. They dispatched a plumber within hours to investigate the situation. Their seamless communication was impressive, and it was determined that more in-depth service was required to access the failed pumps and allow for a definitive diagnosis of the cause of the failure and what steps to take next. It was suggested to close the school for Monday to allow for proper investigation of the situation. Their scheduling was seamless, with a priority service scheduled between 7:30 and 8 a.m. Once they uncovered the pumps and confirmed that both needed to be replaced, they found the necessary equipment and installed it that evening, allowing the children to return to school on Tuesday. I have owned this building for twenty years and have experienced many good service providers across a wide range of specific trades, but Dan the plumber, whom I worked with on this particular need, was exceptionally calm, a great communicator regarding what was happening and what needed to happen to get things back up and running. I cannot speak more highly of my experience with Rick Hartman Plumbing and appreciate their help in this matter. Thank you, Randy

I contacted Hartman because my main line was backing up. They came out and attempted to clean the line, and found my house trap had shifted and was no longer attached to the main line. The next day they returned and got it replaced. I've had no issues since, and they even explained how to check the trap if I have issues down the line. Great company and great people! Wouldn't hesitate to call them back for future repairs.

Called because of all the great Google reviews and I’m so glad I did! I called on a Sunday night and got a call back Monday for a Tuesday appointment. Damon came out and literally stopped the rain from coming through my aunt’s living room ceiling from a broken pipe. He had to cut the ceiling open to find a cracked pipe that was from 1950. He didn’t have the part that day but promised to be back Wednesday morning—and he was right on time. He fixed the pipe and even reset the toilet my husband had moved trying to track the leak. Damon was super professional, friendly, and just a pleasure to work with. Pricing was very fair. We grabbed their cards because they are officially our go-to plumbing company now. Highly recommend!

We had a full repiping of our home. The company attended to pinhole leaks, promptly provided an estimate, and scheduled the work immediately on our acceptance of the bid. Before the work could be done, they immediately attended to a new leak, which took two techs two hours, at no charge. The company did the job within the projected two days and promptly addressed punch list items. The workers were very polite and respectful. I’m approaching the finish line of a four-day major plumbing repair at my home that included concrete excavation and sewer line reconfiguration/replacement, and I have had a phenomenal experience. Absolutely 5 stars for Steve, Nick, and Adam! These guys have been nothing short of outstanding. From the very beginning, their customer service has been top-notch — professional, responsive, and always willing to explain things clearly and patiently. Their knowledge and experience were immediately evident, and they brought a level of confidence and calm to every step of this job. It is obvious that they take pride in what they do and actually care about the customer experience as much as the finished product. What really stood out was their pleasant and respectful demeanor — they were friendly, courteous, and made a messy, complicated project feel manageable and even stress-free. Despite working in an incredibly dirty and demanding environment (not to mention rainy), they kept the worksite as neat and organized as possible, which I truly appreciated. It’s rare to find a team that checks every box: skill, communication, cleanliness, and a great attitude. As a sidenote, I have HomeServe insurance and had the option to make a claim in order to have this issue partially paid for (since they only pay for foundation to utility). I had such a positive experience with Steve and a previous furnace-related issue that I opted out of a significant financial savings due to the level of trust and faith I had in Steve, in particular. Lastly, I work with clients and employees as part of a 5,000+ employee team organization and routinely teach customer service and customer experience principles. It’s hard to impress me, but these guys did. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your company — and especially Steve, Nick, and Adam — to anyone looking for a plumbing contractor. My original plumber bailed on my project to convert from a power vent gas water heater to a hybrid electric. Reached out to many plumbers and Rick Hartman came through. The original quote was $595 which I thought it was a great deal. I sent the pictures of the current setup and everything was ready to go. Then the technician came through and said it was more complicated and requested to delay the project by 2 days. Then on the day, they requested another 2 days due to staffing. Also since it was more complicated, they wanted to change the pricing to labor hr + material. On the day of the work, the first technician showed up at 9 and the second technician at 9:30. It was a two-man job since the 65-gallon hybrid is heavy. So the final bill was ~$1000, 4.75 hours + ~$215 material. The physical work was done at 1:35 pm. I am not surprised by the invoice amount but did not get a list of material used. In short, if you have a simple water heater replacement at the flat rate, I think Rick is a great resource. Included pics of the draining pan and the piping. I supplied the expansion tank, PVC 3-inch cap, and draining pan. The owner contacted me and provided an updated material list and cost. Other than the traditional markup, the material cost is reasonable. After using the unit and the installation for a couple of days, the condenser tube was cut too short and does not reach the floor drain. No job is perfect. This is for the business RHP.
